Jack of All Trades · Éditions is a one-person studio with two faces: independent games on one side, small useful software on the other.
The old proverb stops halfway. The full line is a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one. We took the second half seriously.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Everything is learnable
No discipline is a locked door. Art, engineering, sound, marketing, tax law — each one is a skill with a learning curve, not a caste you are born into. The only real question is whether you are willing to be bad at something long enough to get good at it.
The bridges are the work
A generalist's value is not knowing a little of everything. It is seeing the shape a problem takes in one field and recognising it in another — reading a combat loop as a retention curve, a build pipeline as a level design tool. The bridges between skills are where the interesting things get made.
Two sides, one coin
Games and apps look like opposite worlds: one warm and imagined, one cold and useful. They are the same craft struck on either face — systems that respect the person on the other side of the screen. Flip the coin and the metal does not change.
We are not for hire
This is not an agency and not a freelance shop. We do not sell hours, write someone else's roadmap, or pitch for a brief. We build our own catalog, ship it under our own name, and live with every consequence of it. That constraint is the whole point — it is what keeps the work honest.
Small, finished, ours
Small enough to finish. Finished enough to stand behind. Ours enough that we can still be maintaining it in five years. A short catalog of things that actually exist beats a long list of things that nearly did.
